Author Guidelines – IJSSH
Authors intending to submit manuscripts to the International Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities (IJSSH) are advised to carefully review the following guidelines. Submissions that do not comply may be returned for revision prior to peer review.
A. Author Guidelines
1. Manuscript Types
IJSSH accepts the following types of manuscripts:
- Original Research Articles
- Review Articles
- Case Studies
- Field Studies
- Scholarly Commentaries
2. Formatting Requirements
- Language: British English
- Word Limit: Maximum 6,000 words (excluding references)
- Title: Maximum 50 words, bold, centered, Times New Roman (14 pt)
- Text Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt
- Abstract: Maximum 250–300 words
- Referencing Style: APA (recommended for social sciences)
- Layout: Single-column, single line spacing
3. Manuscript Structure
- Title
- Author Information (names, affiliations, corresponding author email, ORCID)
- Abstract
- Keywords (3–5)
- Introduction
- Methodology
- Results / Findings
- Discussion
- Conclusion
- References (APA style)
4. Figures and Tables
- Must be high-quality and clearly labeled
- Placed near first citation in the text
- Accepted formats: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, JPEG (300 dpi)
5. Cover Letter
A cover letter addressed to the Editor-in-Chief must accompany submissions, confirming originality, relevance, and disclosure of any conflicts of interest.
6. Acknowledgments
Only significant academic, financial, or technical contributions should be acknowledged.
7. Conflict of Interest
If none exist, include: “The authors declare no conflicts of interest.”
8. Ethical Requirements
- Compliance with international ethical standards is required
- Ethical approval for studies involving human participants where applicable
- Full disclosure of funding sources and conflicts of interest
B. Submission Process
All manuscripts must be submitted through the online submission system (OJS).

- Plagiarism and AI reports (if applicable)
Submission Steps
- Register or log in
- Start a new submission
- Agree to journal policies
- Enter manuscript details
- Upload files
- Review and confirm submission
C. Peer Review Process
All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers. The typical review timeline is 4–8 weeks.
D. Copyright and Licensing
Authors retain copyright while granting IJSSH the right to publish and distribute their work. All articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
E. Article Processing Charges (APCs)
- Publication Fee: USD 100 (payable after acceptance)
- No submission or peer-review fees
- Optional fast-track and editing services available
Fee Waivers: A limited number of waivers are available based on academic merit and journal policies.
F. Fast Track Publishing
Fast-track submissions receive priority processing while maintaining full peer review standards. Additional fees apply and acceptance is not guaranteed.
G. Editing Services
Professional editing services are available to assist authors in improving language quality and manuscript presentation. These services are optional and fee-based.
